Most of them quoted <strong data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"974\">IDR 600k<\/strong> (~RM180) for the entire trip, including fuel. Not bad, but we weren\u2019t ready to commit yet since we planned to go on <strong>Tuesday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Pro tip:<\/em> If you want to <strong>climb to the top of Borobudur<\/strong>, don\u2019t go on a <strong>Monday<\/strong>\u2014they close it for maintenance and cleaning. The museum is basically his former home, transformed into an art space. The walls were filled with his raw, emotional paintings, mostly self-portraits that made me wonder if the guy ever painted anything other than thing related to himself<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fun fact:<\/strong> On our way there, we struck up a conversation with our Grab driver and casually asked if he\u2019d be willing to take us to <strong>both Borobudur and Prambanan for IDR 500k<\/strong> instead of 600k. If I could bring one thing home from Jogja, it would be their sambal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the rain showing no signs of stopping, we thought\u2014why not <strong>pamper ourselves<\/strong>? Off we went to <strong>SPA De Wave<\/strong> at Lagensari. And before you ask\u2014yes, this is a <strong>legit<\/strong> spa. No shady business here. I went all out and booked a <strong>full body massage + coffee scrub<\/strong> package for <strong>IDR 280k<\/strong>. Let me tell you\u2014it was <em>worth every rupiah<\/em>. I walked out of there feeling like <strong>a brand-new person<\/strong>, possibly with the smoothest skin in all of Jogja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, we <strong>chilled at a nearby caf\u00e9<\/strong> to finalize our itinerary for tomorrow\u2019s temple-hopping. Later, we had <strong>dinner at Loco Caf\u00e9<\/strong>, which had good food but was slightly overpriced (our wallets shed a tear).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To end the night, we made a <strong>mandatory<\/strong> stop at <strong>Malioboro Street<\/strong>, Jogja\u2019s <strong>shopping heaven<\/strong>. Rows upon rows of stalls selling everything from <strong>batik, handicrafts, souvenirs, to street food<\/strong>. Then came the <strong>ultimate challenge<\/strong>: Shahrul suggested we <strong>WALK<\/strong> back to our hotel from Malioboro. <strong>Distance? Let\u2019s just say it was \u201ca good workout\u201d<\/strong>. We spent <strong>three hours<\/strong> exploring the temple, climbing up the terraces, and admiring the stunning Buddha statues overlooking the lush landscape.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After sweating buckets under the sun, we needed food\u2014<strong>good food<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lunch at Borobudur Silver Resto<\/strong><br \/>This place looked <em>fancy<\/em>. A beautiful, elegant restaurant serving <strong>authentic Javanese cuisine<\/strong>. We went all out\u2014ordering <strong>grilled chicken, spicy sambal dishes, vegetable soup, and an assortment of traditional desserts<\/strong>. The <strong>prices were surprisingly reasonable<\/strong> despite the posh setting.
